Major stock mar­kets in Euro­pe ope­ned hig­her on Fri­day as Ger­ma­ny posted a month­ly rise in its tra­de balan­ce and indu­stri­al pro­duc­ti­on. Mean­w­hi­le, Cre­dit Agri­co­le SA, Sie­mens AG, Adi­das AG, and BMW AG all saw annu­al growth in their first-quar­ter inco­me. Tra­ders are still wai­ting for the Uni­ted Kingdom’s newest upda­te on its con­struc­ti­on sector.

The DAX ope­ned 0.99% or 150 points hig­her as Infi­ne­on Tech­no­lo­gies AG went up by 2.22%. The FTSE 100 advan­ced by 0.52%, with Mel­ro­se Indu­stries PLC expan­ding by 2.24%. The CAC 40 gai­ned 0.47% as STMi­croe­lec­tro­nics NV increa­sed by 1.40%. The euro lost 0.07% against the dol­lar to sell for $1.20568 at 8:57 am CET. At the same time, the pound ster­ling rose by 0.12% against the green­back, chan­ging hands for $1.39058.
